TCG = trading card game. Basically you trade cards with others, play games and enter contests to complete your favourite sets.
I believe someone by the name of Calico came up with the idea but, alas, their site is no longer around.
I got bored with building fanlistings, I wanted to branch out a little. I remembered stumbling upon a Lord of the Rings TCG a few months back and started looking around. There were quite a few TCGs floating about but, to the best of my knowledge, none dealing specifically with comic book characters. And so Marvel-lous was born January 2005.
You begin with a starter pack containing:
¬4 cards from a set of your choice
¬4 random cards
You can trade cards with others or play games and enter contests to gain more.
Standard cards are worth 1 card towards your total and when trading.
Special cards are worth 2 cards.
When you refer someone you recieve:
¬2 random cards
On you birthday and on other special occasions you recieve:
¬Occasion card
¬2 cards of your choice
¬2 random cards
Occasion cards count 2 to your total but are personal and therefore cannot be traded.
You begin on level one and for every 25 cards you collect you advance one level.
When you move up a level you recieve:
¬Level Badge
¬2 cards of your choice
¬2 random cards
Once you have all the cards in a set you have mastered it.
When you master a set worth 20 set you recieve:
¬A personalised mastering badge
¬2 cards of your choice
¬4 random cards
When you master a set worth 10 you recieve:
¬A personalised mastering badge
¬1 cards of your choice
¬2 random cards

Since I make all the games (at the moment) I obviously cannot win them as I know all the answers!
Instead (when I remember!) I take two random cards a week and a random card from every set I make.
Does that seem fair?
